This double role is highlighted in its parent organizations: the International Council of Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS) and the International Society of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing.

Among the objectives of this type of organizations. that try to promote good practices for the registration, documentation and management of cultural heritage information, includes the possibility of providing a platform with bi-annual conferences for the exchange of ideas, best practices and scientific research.

According to Diego González Aguilera, for the next edition to be held at the “Lienzo Norte” Congress and Exhibition Center in the capital of Ávila, an attendance of between four and five hundred people from all over the world is expected.

For the organization, it is expected to have the backing of the institutions of Avila, as well as the University of Salamanca.
